This posting is for a Renewable Resource Sales Associate (Wood Products). Responsibilities include the following: Learn organization’s policies, products, and / or services in preparation for sales responsibilities. Acquire knowledge of division and industry practices through on-the-job training in location sales departments, including but not limited to: Introduce, promote, and sell the organization’s new and existing products, services, and brands to existing and potential customers; Evaluate and implement product pricing based on market conditions; Contact customers regarding market fluctuations and trends; Forecast, plan, implement and manage product flow to meet customers’ service needs and contract requirements; Develop and manage accurate seasonal forecasts that will optimize program costs; Minimize delivery costs, and maximize turn rates; Coordinate inventory logistic activities with internal/external customers; Perform duties required to transport the company’s freight and product via motor and rail; Complete special projects as needed. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: College degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function.
Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
