    Trouble shoot and perform maintenance on Wagner, Taylor, jitneys and company related mechanized mobile stock with use of established maintenance practices. Responsible to continue to study and train to insure up-to-date troubleshooting and repair techniques are used. Works without benefit of supervision and assumes complete responsibility for quality of work performed.



    • Trouble shoots and repairs jitneys, Taylors, Wagners, trucks and company rolling stock.
    • Request component parts for assigned jobs and initiates follow-up action on items not received. Maximum emphasis must be directed to insure minimum equipment downtime is experienced.
    • Researches catalogs, reads and interprets blueprints and maintenance publications and follows checklists if established for an appropriate job.
    • Operates various machines and auto repair shop equipment in performance of job.
    • Advises on technical related subjects and performs training duties when assigned.
    • When no work is assigned the jitney mechanic is to perform both periodic and scheduled inspections on equipment as preventive maintenance steps.
    • Maintains repair, service and inspection records.
    • Responsible for vehicle shop housekeeping and other plant maintenance or millwright duties when assigned.
    • Responsible for individual safety and promotes safety by example.
    • Performs all additional duties assigned by supervisor.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must have high school diploma/GED Equivalent or 2 years Manufacturing, Maintenance or Related Work Experience
    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Must be available to work any shift
    • Ability to communicate in writing, and working knowledge of math fundamentals is required
    • Qualified candidates must possess basic knowledge of equipment repair and have ability to trouble shoot & maintain rolling stock
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
