Provide technical support to the environmental engineering department to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and operating permits, and to implement the Company’s policies, procedures and management actions to ensure the safe, efficient, and quality operation of all facilities. Assist in the development of environmental plans and field compliance monitoring, records management plans development, reporting and multi-media training activities. Participate in investigation of noncompliance conditions and recommend modification to eliminate causes. Interface with a wide range of mill management and operations personnel and representatives of external agencies.


Sr Level: Develops, trains, implements and ensures compliance with a comprehensive environmental management plan, for selected facilities. Interfaces with a wide range of mill management and operations personnel and representatives of external agencies. Supervised by the Environmental Engineering Manager, but works independently on some projects as needed to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulatory requirements. 


Basic Qualifications: College degree in Engineering, Science, or Environmental Studies. Possess computer skills, organizational skills, and effective communication skills. Must be able to interpret and apply state and federal regulations related to industrial activities. Must be a self- starter, results oriented and willing to work with minimum supervision and occasionally during non-day shift hours.


Preferred Qualifications: Sr Level: Prefer more than 3 years of experience in related job function.
