Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, cost estimation, planning, management and completion of wood product facility engineering projects under direction of the Region Engineer or Region Manager. General responsibilities include providing engineering support, using sound engineering practices, to multiple facilities and project managers; interfacing with management, plant personnel and outside contractors on a daily basis; managing and maintaining project and drawing files. Projects vary over a wide range of engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Basic QualificationsB.S. in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical. 1-2 years experience in wood products manufacturing preferred. Must be working toward completing Engineer-in-Training certification. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Project a plus. Good interpersonal skills and communication are necessary. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are essential. Must be able to work efficiently and independently. Some travel required. Work hours vary, including some weekends and holidays during significant capital installations.
